As a Christian, I try my best to live out my Faith in all aspects of my life. Part of doing so is keeping my eyes and ears open to what God is trying to say to me in the world.
That means whenever I'm watching or reading something, my inner spiritual ear is listening for what God is working in me. I don't actively sit there and say "Okay God, what are you trying to tell me now?" But I am open for when something catches my attention. It is surprising, at times, where I hear God speaking. Sometimes it is a novel. Sometimes it's a comic. Sometimes it's one of my favorite shows and movies. As a minister, I also try to help others live their Faith in all aspects of their lives. That is what led me to create The Gospel according to Superheroes. My hope is that people will gain new insights into their Faith through something meaningful to them, like pop culture or superheroes. My hope too is that people will start to open up their own spiritual ears to hear what God might be saying to them through the stories they love. I hope you have enjoyed what we have been up to thus far, and that you will keep returning to hear what God might be saying to you in what might appear, at first, to be an unlikely place.
